Email printed to PDF, PDF appears accurate in Acrobat XI Pro, when PDF printed to paper text missing

HELP!!!

I have text disappear from Outlook emails printed to PDF when I print the PDF files from Acrobat XI Pro to a printer.

Here is a sample png from the PDF file printed out of Outlook - all the text is showing.

Memo Style.png

However when I print the PDF from Acrobat to a printer, the document comes out of the printer with text missing as shown:

Memo Style_Printed.png

The Acrobat print window shows all of the text that should be there as does Acrobat's view of the document.

PrintScreen.PNG

AcrobatWindow.PNG

Also, if I save the file to an image, all of the text is there.

I have tried different emails as well as different printers and the paper printed copies of the PDF emails are always missing text.

Additionally I have tried coverting the PDF file to a PDF/A file and printing that and the same problems occur.

Please send some tips as to how I can fix this!

Error Printing to Adobe PDF

We are using Adobe Acrobat X Pro (Ver 10.0) with Window 7.  We have recently loaded patches from April and are now unable to print files to PDF.  Some users seem to have more issues than others.  The files asks where we would like to save and then an error appears in the Adobe PDF printer queue.  There are no windows logs and nothing appears to happen once the error appear in the queue.  We have tried updating the verion of Acrobt to 10.1.5 but without success.  The issue began once patches were loaded and we are attempting to identify which patch caused this.  Has anyone else seen this problem?  Anyone have any suggestions on which patch may have caused this?

I'm having an issues when others go to print out a document and don't make sure the document is set to print in actual size and we lose the scaling on the document. Is there a way to lock the print settings on a pdf so they are always correct?

Why are previews different in CS3 and CS6

I can't see a separation between process colors and the black on pdfs in CS6. The black plate appears to be printing on all 4 plates. In CS3, the black doesn't appear on all plates. We're using OS 10.8.

CS3 is the first image; CS6 is the second image

ICC Color Profiles Not Recognized in Advanced Settings

$

I am a Civil Engineer using Acrobat for Windows 7 to print plan sets. My co-workers and I are using identical computers, drawings, and printers but my plans always print lighter or with strange colors. On closer inspection I find that our ICC Color Profiles under Advanced Settings are different. So I tried to download and install the same one (ideally making our prints look the same), but when I install the color profile nothing changes. I can see the profile in the folder structure, but Acrobat isn't recognizing it.

The setting that I should have is:      Working CMYK: U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2

Instead I have:                                   Working RGB: ;@

The folder is:                                     C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Resource\Color\Profiles\Recommended

I've tried reinstalling Acrobat, and my printer drivers with no improvement. I know it's probably something obvious, but it's escaping me right now.

Thanks in Advance.

Adobe Reader often prints garbled text

Hi, I am printing PDFs that contain a custom true type font. The font is added in Windows Fonts.

Sometimes, when I open such PDF, the text is grabled and I need to either wait a few seconds for the text to become readable or close and reopen the file, and then the text is readable.

And even if I manage to make the text readable, when I print such PDFs sometimes the text is grabled again. Why does this happen and can it be fixed?

Thanks.

Issue:  From web browser apps, I select Print > Adobe PDF > then, the Save PDF File As dialog box opens in the background instead of the foreground.

Acrobat Pro XI / Acrobat Pro 11.0.2

Win7 Ent x64 SP1

Dell Latitude with I5 proc and Intel video

Dual screens with extended desktop display via DVI

In Distiller, I check the box for Preferences > Ask for PDF file destination.

I was issued a new corporate laptop a few months back, specs are above.  Did not have this issue with Acrobat Pro X on my old Dell Latitude running Win7 Ent x64 SP1.  So, I have multiple new moving parts in what could be the root cause.

Any ideas?

Thank you,

Printing either doesn't work or prints 2-up for no reason?

My system was rebaselined recently, and now I can not get Acrobat Pro 9.0* or Reader 11.0.2 to print correctly.

If they do print, I get two pages per sheet, with unreadable 4-point type.

More often, they don't print. I've seen this one a few times:

ERROR: undefined

OFFENDING COMMAND: Pscript_WinNT_Compat

STACK:

This one showed up on a different printer:

ERROR: typecheck

OFFENDING COMMAND: setpagedevice

STACK:

-dictionary-

I have completely uninstalled both Pro and Reader, run the clean scripts from http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html, and reinstalled.

I am still having the same problem, and am not sure what to try next.

Other programs are able to print without incurring the 2-up problem. I've got 32-bit Windows 7 Professional, nominally 4GB RAM.

(* The last time I upgraded Pro to 9.4.whatever, it started crashing on launch and refused to ever completely open. Not going there again. )

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Multipage Wide Format PostScript Plotting

I am trying to Plot multipage wide format PDFs (24x36) or (40x32) to my KM-3650W using there PostScript driver.  When I plot, the first page prints the proper size and fit,  but the remaining pages print at a reduced size not centered on the page.  When I plot using the normal driver,  They all plot the same (proper) size and fit, but they take ages to spool (30-45 min, or worse).  Windows 7 x64.  Can anyone point me in the right direction for resolving this?

Why do some objects not print from PDF on certain printers?

Hi, I'm having an issue with a 18 page PDF document. It's a large Illustrator document that I print to tile into the 18 pages. Each page has a border around the objects, but on several pages, one side of the border is missing when printed. I know it's not a margin issue, and it prints fine on some printers, but some it doesn't. When viewing the PDF on Acrobat Pro, everything looks fine (as others have also reported who've had the missing objects when printing the same document).

Any suggestions on how I can get it to print normally on all printers? I've search online and can't figure it out!

Reducing Plot Size of Large PDFs

$

I have a large format plotter and a PDF that is 157 inches long x 36 inches wide.  The plotter will handle the plot, but we do not need a plot that long.  I need to reduce the plot size so that text is "readable" - I think about 50% will work.

However, I'm testing this on the plotter using Current View at different zoom scales so that I don't waste paper.

The problem I've run into is that the zoom scale on the screen and the zoom scale on the paper are not matching up.  The "Current View with Fit to Printable Area" plot looks more like 25% on paper, rather than 50%.  Setting the view on the screen to 100% gives me a 51%.  See the attached images.   The 1st, with the "Units:  Inches Zoom:  51%" is for the 100% zoom on the screen.  The 2nd, with  "Units:  Inches Zoom:  26%" is for the 50% zoom on the screen.

Is there a way in Acrobat 9.5.2 Pro to set a definite zoom scale for plotting?  Shouldn't I be able to use the slider bar under the Preview?  I am not able to adjust it at all.

Given the length of the plot, tiling is not appropriate.

Printing PDF in multiple color

Hallo

Danke schon mal vorab.

Adobe cannot see my printer....

$

Hello. this is my first question on this site as previously, I've never had any problems with Adobe!

My issue is that I have installed a new printer and now Adobe cannot see this printer.

I have Windows 7 and my previous printer was an HP which I could use both hard wired and wirelessly to print pdf's. The reason I have changed my printer is that my old printer did not have the ability to be plugged straight into my router but had to be plugged into an old tower pc that I had in order for me to use it wirelessly!

So, today, I plugged my new Brother MFC-5890CN straight into the router, found it on my laptop and voila everything was perfect. I printed a few word documents and also some stuff from the net but when I went to print a pdf - nothing.

Things I have tried, with a restart in between.

Deleting my printer and re-installing.

Deleting my printer and re-installing with software obtained from Brother website.

Deleting Adobe Reader and re-installing. (Which gave me a more recent version)

Plugging the Brother printer into my laptop with a USB cable

The weird thing is that my husband can print pdf's from his laptop when he connects wirelessly to the Brother printer?

So its obviously some issue with my laptop and Adobe...

I feel like I need to be able to get Adobe to reset its printer list. For some reason, although I have deleted my old printer from my machine, that is the printer that comes up as the printer that Adobe wants to use?

I cannot set my printer as Default either but that is a long standing issue as I couldn't do that with my old printer. It comes up with error message 0x00000709.

Please does anyone have any help for me????

Legal Size Printing Problem

$

I have recived a document which is legal size. Acrobat XI ver 11.0.03 opens the PDF fine and the print dialogue previews it correctly. I select the document to pick the paper size which it does correctly. However, when I retrieve the printout the information is shifted downward on the paper cutting off some of it on the bottom. I also have issues when the document contains a mix of legal and letter size pages throughout. Does anyone have any ideas as to a fix?
